The sequence of bifurcations from simple to complex forms of fluid motion can be studied numerically in the case of systems with high degrees of external symmetries. The relevance of tertiary and quarternary states for the problem of turbulence is discussed and as an example asymmetric traveling wave convection in a fluid layer heated from below is described.  相似文献

In solution, the eight BF4? counterions of a positively charged D4‐symmetric interpenetrated [Pd4ligand8]8+ double cage ( 1 ) are localized in distinct positions. At low temperatures, one BF4? ion is encapsulated inside the central pocket of the supramolecular structure, two BF4? ions are bound inside the equivalent outer pockets, and the remaining five BF4? ions are located outside the cage structure (expressed by the formula [3 BF4@ 1 ][BF4]5). On warming, the two BF4? ions in the outer pockets are found to exchange with the exterior ions in solution whereas the central BF4? ion stays locked inside the central cavity (here written as [BF4@ 1 ][BF4]7). The exchange kinetics were determined by exchange spectroscopy (EXSY) NMR experiments and line‐shape fitting in different solvents. The tremendously high affinity of this double cage for the binding of two chloride ions inside the outer pockets allows for complete exchange of two BF4? ions by the addition of solid AgCl to give [2 Cl+BF4@ 1 ][BF4]5. The uptake of the two chloride ions is allosteric and is thus accompanied by a structural rearrangement (compression along the Pd4 axis) of the double cage structure. An analysis by using 900 MHz NOESY NMR spectroscopy shows that this compression of about 3.3 % is associated with a helical twist of 8°, which together resemble a screw motion. As a consequence of squeezing each of the outer two pockets by 53 %, the volume of the central pocket is increased by 43 %, which results in an increase of 36 % in the 19F spin‐lattice relaxation time (T1) of the central BF4? ion. The packing coefficients (PC) for the ions in the outer pockets (103 % for BF4? and 96 % for Cl?) were calculated.  相似文献

The bone morphogenetic protein type 2, is an osteoinduction protein, but new carriers to improve its actions are being studied in recent researches. The objective of this study was to evaluate the poloxamer gel as potential carrier of the rhBMP-2 during the bone healing process and verify if the collagen sponge can improve this process. Fifty-six male Wistar rats were used, which were divided into two groups, considering two periods of time. Thus, each one of these groups was divided in four groups with seven animals each, according to the treatment and the defect filled by 4 microg rhBMP-2 in aqueous solution, 4 microg rhBMP-2 in aqueous solution+collagen sponge, 4 microg rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel, and 4 microg rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel+collagen sponge. After 2 and 4 weeks, respectively, animals were perfused and the hemi-mandibles removed for histological analysis. Statistical analysis of the data showed significant difference between all analyzed groups (p<0.01), and between the periods of time (p=0.0118). There was no interaction between the applied treatment and considered periods of time (p=0.642). Results showed that the rhBMP-2 used in this study was able to induce bone regeneration and had its action optimized when combined to the used carriers, being the bone repair time-dependent.  相似文献

The objective of this investigation was to assess the quantity of collagen fibers with different dosages of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein, type 2 (rhBMP-2) associated with two different carriers, monoolein and poloxamer gels, in critical bone defects created in the calvaria of Wistar rats. Forty male adult Wistar rats were divided into eight groups of 5 animals each—group I: critical bone defect with application of 1 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with monoolein gel; group II: 3 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with monoolein gel; group III: 7 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with monoolein gel; group IV: 1 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel; group V: 3 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel; group VI: 7 μg of rhBMP-2 combined with poloxamer gel; group VII: monoolein gel only and group VIII: poloxamer gel only. A critical-sized defect of 6 mm diameter was produced in the left parietal bone using a surgical round bur and a high-speed micromotor. The bone defects were filled according to the group that animals belonged and after two weeks the rats were perfused and their calvarial bones were removed for histological processing, and collagen fibers quantification. Differences among the eight groups were statistically analyzed by Anova and Bonferroni test (p < 0.05). The results did not show statistical difference between the groups, in exception, between the comparisons II and III. According to the experimental methodology used in this research, it was observed, in a general way, a qualitative inverse relationship between collagen fibers presence and rhBMP-2 quantity inserted in the critical bone defect, associated or not to a material carrier.  相似文献

Strychnos pseudoquina ST. HIL. (Loganiaceae) was investigated for its ability to protect the gastric mucosa against injuries caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (piroxicam) and a necrotizing agent (HCl/EtOH) in mice. The MeOH extract and enriched alkaloidic fraction (EAF) provided significant protection in experimental models wheer used at doses of 250 and 1000 mg/kg. In vivo tests were carried out to evaluate for possible toxic effects and no mortality was observed up to the 5 g/kg dose level. Phytochemical investigation led to the isolation of a new indole alkaloid, which elucidated the observed pharmacological effects.  相似文献

Progress in metallo-supramolecular chemistry creates potential to synthesize functional nano systems and intelligent materials of increasing complexity. In the past four decades, metal-mediated self-assembly has produced a wide range of structural motifs such as helicates, grids, links, knots, spheres and cages, with particularly the latter ones catching growing attention, owing to their nano-scale cavities. Assemblies serving as hosts allow application as selective receptors, confined reaction environments and more. Recently, the field has made big steps forward by implementing dedicated functionality, e.g. catalytic centres or photoswitches to allow stimuli control. Besides incorporation in homoleptic systems, composed of one type of ligand, desire arose to include more than one function within the same assembly. Inspiration comes from natural enzymes that congregate, for example, a substrate recognition site, an allosteric regulator element and a reaction centre. Combining several functionalities without creating statistical mixtures, however, requires a toolbox of sophisticated assembly strategies. This review showcases the implementation of function into self-assembled cages and devises strategies to selectively form heteroleptic structures. We discuss first examples resulting from a combination of both principles, namely multicomponent multifunctional host–guest complexes, and their potential in application in areas such as sensing, catalysis, and photo-redox systems.

This review highlights recent strategies towards the rational synthesis of metallo-supramolecular multicomponent systems, the implementation of functionality and the challenge to create multifunctional assemblies in non-statistical fashion.  相似文献

The title copper(II) complex, {[CuCl(C15H16N4O2)]Cl·0.61H2O}n, is a one‐dimensional zigzag coordination polymer structure extending along the (010) direction. The CuII atom has a square‐pyramidal geometry, where the basal plane is formed by two cis N atoms and one O atom from the ligand, and by a Cl atom. The apical position is occupied by a carbonyl O atom from a symmetry‐related molecule. In the crystal structure, there are O—H...Cl and N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds, which link parallel polymer chains along the c direction, so building a two‐dimensional structure via the interstitial Cl atoms.  相似文献

The aim is to evaluate the effects of photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) on the guided bone regeneration process (GBR) in defects in the calvaria of rats filled with biphasic calcium phosphate associated with fibrin biopolymer. Thirty male Wistar rats were randomly separated: BMG (n = 10), defects filled with biomaterial and covered by membrane; BFMG (n = 10), biomaterial and fibrin biopolymer covered by membrane; and BFMLG (n = 10), biomaterial and fibrin biopolymer covered by membrane and biostimulated with PBMT. The animals were euthanized at 14 and 42 days postoperatively. Microtomographically, in 42 days, there was more evident bone growth in the BFMLG, limited to the margins of the defect with permanence of the particles. Histomorphologically, an inflammatory infiltrate was observed, which regressed with the formation of mineralized bone tissue. In the quantification of bone tissue, all groups had a progressive increase in new bone tissue with a significant difference in which the BFMLG showed greater bone formation in both periods (10.12 ± 0.67 and 13.85 ± 0.54), followed by BFMG (7.35 ± 0.66 and 9.41 ± 0.84) and BMG (4.51 ± 0.44 and 7.11 ± 0.44). Picrosirius-red staining showed greater birefringence of collagen fibers in yellow-green color in the BFMLG, showing more advanced bone maturation. PBMT showed positive effects capable of improving and accelerating the guided bone regeneration process when associated with biphasic calcium phosphate and fibrin biopolymer.  相似文献
